About This Building

Office Hours: Mondays through Fridays 8am - 4:30pm Public Housing Program: Our Housing Communities The public housing program, also known as "projects," is administered by the housing authority. We prefer to call them our housing communities. The rent for these communities is determined by the person's income and the size of the bedroom, based on the number of family members. Click HERE to find out more. Section 8 Program: Rental Assistance In the Section 8 housing program, individuals or companies act as landlords. Tenants are responsible for finding appropriate housing in the community. The housing authority partners with the landlord to provide rental assistance to the tenant. Once the tenant finds suitable housing, they enter into a lease agreement with the landlord. Just like public housing, the rent in Section 8 is based on the person's income. Click HERE to find out more. Eufaula Housing Authority: Assisting Low-Income Residents The Eufaula Housing Authority manages various programs to provide housing assistance to low-income residents. These programs include Low Rent Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher Program, also known as Section 8. Both programs are income-based, and the eligibility guidelines are set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Due to high demand, there may be waiting lists for rentals or vouchers, and occasionally, these lists may close to new applicants based on size and duration of the wait. If you require housing assistance in the area, please contact the Housing Authority directly for information on eligibility requirements, availability of rentals or vouchers, waiting list status, and application procedures.
